Blingo is awesome!
I was skeptical at first... how can you get something for nothing? But I had heard from hundreds of people that said it really worked, so I tried it. And yesterday, I won a Sony PSP while searching for "psp tutorials"!
Here is how it works. You use Blingo to search. It uses Google to power its searches, so you hardly notice any difference at all. Then if you search at a certain random time, you win a prize...like an iPod Nano, Sony PSP, or movie tickets.
If you refer friends, and they win a prize, then you ALSO get that prize.
I added it to my Firefox search bar (they have instructions on their site, it takes about 10 seconds) so I never notice it.

Finally, a new Paint Shop Pro tutorial! It's been a long time, with the new redesign and php tutorials, but I'm getting back on track. For PSP 8 still, but it should be almost the same for PSP 9. Check it out here: Life Poster Tutorial

Exponent CMS

I am currently designing a site using Exponent CMS. Of all of the CMS's I've tried (Mambo, Sitellite), I definetly like this one the best. There is a lack of documentation though, so as I develop with this tool, I will start publishing tutorials on how to do things in the CMS. Hopefully, this will complement the documentation enough that other developers start using it.

V. 5 Redesign

The redesign is finally here. I have been planning to do it for over a year, and have changed a few things such as the tutorial display pages and the comment form, but the rest of the site hasn't been changed in a while.
The new site will feature my own PHP content management system. All the tutorials are in a database. I used mod_rewrite as well so they look like static pages, even though there is only one page that displays the tutorials.
I'm sorry if you are having any problems over the next week as I switch the site over.

Using an awesome article I have added a print stylesheet that will remove all the banners, menus, etc, to format the page for printing. Hope this helps some people when they go to print any of my pages.

This news system you see is PHPNews. It's free, and so far I have been very impressed. I love the simplicity it has to offer. You can include the news with a simple PHP include line. Now I have set up PHPNews to export to an RSS feed. Click here to learn more, and download the feed. I will post a new article everytime the site changes, so the feed will be a good way for people to know when a new tutorial is posted.

I have just finished adding a comments system to all of the tutorials. While doing this, I changed all of the files to be xhtml compliant and hooked them up to my php templete system. I'm hoping to get all my pages changed to php soon.
